ADRIANA
LOPEZ
Adriana and her husband have
owned, Financial Group-
Equipment Loans and Leasing, in
La Puente, California for the
past six years. Financial Group
has offices also in Calexico,
California and Phoenix, Arizona.
They also recently launched Get
the Edge Inc. in January 2008, a
GPS software company.
A committed community activist,
Adriana mentors young women with
the wisdom of her own valued
life lessons and hard-earned
experience. Currently, she is
Founder and President of Jewels
for my Queens, where the impact
of the curriculum is self esteem
and redefinition of image. It is
Adriana’s goal that “every young
woman maintain a proper self
image and that her avenues of
opportunity be as attainable as
any other individual in this
country. Role models are a
necessity to successfully enable
our young women to define
themselves in the brightest
light possible and to help them
realize that there are those
like myself who will be there to
assist them step by step during
their process of this important
positive change.”
Adriana is proud to serve on
many boards that share her
mission like, National Latina
Business Women Association,
Adelante Mujer Latina Conference
and The Lion’s Den. In addition,
Adriana has made presentations
at several high schools,
colleges and conferences. (Senator
Martha Escutia’s Empowerment Day,
La Calle Conferences, Workman
High School and Ramona High
School) to name a few. She is
proud to provide on-going
workshops and conferences that
educate young women. Adriana’s
dream is that all our youth be
given the chance to “see life in
a different way, so as to
realize that there are endless
possibilities out there for them.”
Without the blessing of her
supportive family, her career
would almost be impossible.
“They believed in me before
anyone else.” She says. Her
passion and love for her family
and country is the fuel that
keeps her going, along with her
desire that people know, “If you
believe it, you can achieve it,
and no matter what your
circumstance is you can rise
above it.” Adriana currently
resides in Southern California
with her husband Alex and their
three children. |
