Sandra Font, Interim President, joined the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) in 1997. Working directly alongside the President as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Sandra helped the GHCC experience tremendous year after year growth these last ten years.

Sandra was recently named Interim President. In addition to continuing with her role as primary fundraiser and Chamber representative, she is concurrently responsible for the daily administrative and strategic operations of the Chamber, managing and supervising memberships, while at the same time developing and leading the economic development of the Hispanic community in the Atlanta area and beyond. Sandra has extensive, long-term relationships with top tier business executives and government leaders at the local, state and national levels and serves as primary liaison to the GHCC’s Board of Directors.

For the last ten years, Sandra has spearheaded the GHCC’s largest fundraising event, “The Annual Awards Gala,” raising approximately $500,000 for the Chamber’s operations every year.

Sandra is one of the strategic creators of the GHCC’s pioneering “How to Open Your Own Business” seminars. These courses, which Sandra helped develop and structure, eventually evolved into HACED (Hispanic American Center of Economic Development), the first Hispanic business incubator in Georgia, which has received significant national and international acclaim.

Sandra, with her unique background and experience in Atlanta successfully helping put the Hispanic agenda on the map, is fully apprised of the specific business needs of the Hispanic community both in Georgia and throughout the US. Sandra is responsible for increasing business opportunities for Hispanic entrepreneurs; delivering benefits and value-added services to member Chambers and corporate partners; maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of Chamber operations all while aligning GHCC’s strategic objectives in support of the organization’s continued path of growth and success.
