Before joining Telemundo KSTS-TV48, Blanca was the entertainment anchor/ reporter for KMEX channel 34, Univision’s flagship station and before that, for Primer Impacto and Televisa as the entertainment correspondent in Los Angeles.
Blanca has over 15 years experience in the radio and television industry in the United States and Mexico. She is very active in the Bay Area Latino community, volunteering to many worthy causes such as Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Education Advancement as well as supporting Health Education for Hispanics. Blanca’s ability to connect with her audience is due to her professionalism, charisma, passion and personal commitment to inform, entertain and educate the community.
Blanca received many awards including a Golden Mike award from RTNDA for “México Insólito” and a Team Emmy for the best newscast in Los Angeles with Univision.
She was born in Dinuba, California, of Mexican parents. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mex. and returned to southern California at eighteen. She attended the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico where she studied Communications.
