Judith Martinez is a communications specialist, Emmy Award Winning news anchor and director and a social entrepreneur. Her passion for empowering people with information lead her to co found in the year 2000 the first Bilingual online publication in the State of Georgia, AtlantaLatino.com and launched the printed weekly version in 2002. During her role as Editor in Chief, the publication received numerous awards for its quality coverage of issues such as Education, Politics and Immigration.
In 2003, Judith was awarded Business Woman of the Year by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Her deep commitment to inform the Hispanic community with passion and dedication helped to position herself as one of the most influential Latinas in the State of Georgia.
In 2011, Judith was recruited to launch the First Spanish Newscast for Telemundo Atlanta, under her leadership as News Director; the station garnered several EMMY’s including Best News Cast and Best News Anchor in 2014.
Judith is the first Mexican journalist to receive an EMMY for that category in the State of Georgia. Her commitment to her community goes beyond media, her latest undertaking is YoSoyM (I am a Woman) a social venture she co- founded to empower Latinas to peruse their American Dream.
Originally from México, Judith is married and has two children.
