AVP, Program Management – Merger Integration
Melissa Bolden is currently an AVP on the EG Customer Experience and Ops Support team
responsible for leading the program office ensuring seamless operational execution for system
integration related to the DIRECTV merger.
Melissa started with SBC in San Antonio in 1996 in the Controllers department and has had
various roles in corporate accounting, corporate finance and IT throughout her career. Prior
to her current role she led the DIRECTV contact centers merger integration team responsible
for developing the plan to successfully execute on Customer Day 1.
Melissa is an active participant in the ERGs particularly with HACEMOS and Women of AT&T
with a passion to support scholarship efforts for the local community. She also is serving as a
mentor for HACEMOS, the LDP program and has various other 1×1 mentoring relationships.
Melissa was recognized as one of AT&Ts Champions of Diversity in 2016 and recently
completed SMU’s corporate executive development program called Latinos in Action. She just
was recognized with a national special recognition award at the Women of Color STEM
Prior to joining AT&T, Melissa worked at KPMG auditing various diverse clients in the San
Antonio and Corpus Christi area, including USAA and St. Mary’s University.
Melissa is a CPA and holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting from the University
of Texas at Austin. She currently resides in Waxahachie with her husband, Jon (also an AT&T
employee) and their two sons. She enjoys golf and watching her sons’ sports activities.
