Thalia Contreras, Miss Georgia 2016 is mostly known for her great success in the pageant industry, but she is also an actress and host. As a young girl Thalia enjoyed cheerleading and soccer, but she quickly discovered a love for acting. Contreras became a young Entrepreneur at the age of ten, by starting her own entertainment business as a professional clown. The 23-year-old Thalia Contreras has always been interested in many aspects of the entertainment industry, but it was her love for acting that ignited that spark, in becoming the top actress in the business.
While being a full-time student in college and pursing her double major in Acting and Nursing Thalia was offered representation by J Pervis Talent Agency who to this day represents her. Starting her acting career in the theater, some of the plays she has been in are, “Bang Bang you’re Dead,” “A Midsummers Night Dream,” and “Block Art.” Contreras has been casted in several Independent Films in Atlanta. She has also been seen in television shows including, Oxygen’s Snapped Killer Couples, TV Azteca’s Fanatico Sports, and Univision’s Nuestra Belleza Latina. She has also been featured in national commercials on Univision, NBC, and Telemundo.
Beyond acting and modeling Thalia considers one of her biggest accomplishment to be co-founding her small entertainment business as a Clown. This has allowed her to use her talents to give back to her community. For the last ten years she has left a trail of laughter and memories and hopes to continue to bring happiness to children and elderly. Her platform is to advocate the importance of mentoring and empowering the lives of young girls and encourage them to become strong role models and mentors, while instilling confidence and integrity in their own lives. Dealing with low self-esteem, Thalia has been able to discover how important the need for mentoring young ladies really is.
Thalia currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia where she continues to pursue the dreams and goals set in her heart by his heavenly father.
