With over 14 years of experience in broadcast journalism in Mexico and the United States , Renpenning Heidi joined the Univision family of Arizona in October 2013 as a news anchor. Since she arrived in Phoenix, Heidi has managed to gained Arizonans by forming a strong connection with them through her impeccable journalistic work and active participation in community events including talks with inspiring Hispanic children. Her outstanding work has received Emmy nominations. She has been recognized by Texas Associated Press Broadcasters and she has also received honorable mention awards in Emma.
Heidi was born in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua. Her father is a Mennonite and her mother is a Mexican. Heidi grew up in Ciudad Juarez where she studied until high school and then entered the University of Texas at El Paso where she earned her degree in Electronic Media Communication. Through her participation in community activities and work, Heidi seeks to share her story as an immigrant in this country with a message that success can be achieved through hard work, perseverance and above all a lot of faith.

Sergio Urquidi has 30 years of experience as a TV journalist covering major events throughout the world. His trajectory is recognized nationally and internationally.
Before being Newscaster Univision Arizona, Sergio worked in Miami as principal conductor of “The Opiniario” a variety show (news, entertainment and more) transmitted by SOI, the first television network in the United States focused on issues that are trends in social networking.
From 1999 to 2010, Sergio was part of the team of Univision News, where he hosted the weekend edition of the national chain newscast “Noticiero Univision.” He was also a correspondent and substitute anchor in the afternoon and evening newscast “Last Minute” and correspondent primetime newsmagazine “Here and Now”.
Previously, Sergio also served as chief correspondent for Univision News office in San Antonio, covering important news in northern Mexico, the border and the southwestern United States, including Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
During his successful career, Sergio has worked in different media throughout the United States. He worked at KVEA-TV Telemundo Los Angeles as host, NBC News Channel in Charlotte as news anchor at Univision KMEX Los Angeles as a reporter, in CGS-TV in Washington, DC as a reporter and producer at Telemundo WSNS-TV Chicago as a reporter, and KINT-TV in El Paso, Texas, and sports news presenter.
This veteran of communication has been recognized with four “Golden Mike” awards for journalistic excellence delivered by the prestigious RTNDA Radio and Television News Association. Sergio also has received two Emmy nominations for the prestigious awards.
Originally from Mexico, Sergio holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication at the University of Texas at El Paso.
