LATINA Style Magazine, the premier magazine addressing the needs of the Latina professional and business owner, is proud to present the LATINA Style Business Series Tour for 2012.
2012 marks the 18th year of publication of LATINA Style Magazine. Anna Maria Arias, founder of Latina Style, broke new ground in 1994 when she launched LATINA Style Magazine (LS), the first national magazine addressing the needs and concerns of the contemporary Latina workingwoman. Since then, LATINA Style has grown into more than just a magazine, fulfilling most of Anna Maria’s expectations to be a vehicle of economic empowerment for all Latinas in the United States. In 1998, in response to a lack of programs assisting Latina entrepreneurs she created the LATINA Style Business Series, a one day education and business development program concentrating on solving some of the most critical business challenges faced by the Latina entrepreneur as she starts up her business or as she plans for expansion. Some of these problems are generic to all entrepreneurs but some are unique to workingwomen. The Series addresses these challenges from a Latina perspective and the Latina experience.
With the participation of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the regional Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, women’s and local organizations, the Business Series has developed into the most successful Latina business-owner development program in the nation.
We sadly lost Anna Maria in 2001 but her vision continues more powerful than ever, and the LATINA Style Business Series has continued to grow and develop.
LATINA Style is proud to announce the 14th Anniversary Business Series Tour. Over 29,000 Latina entrepreneurs in over 85 cities have participated in the Series since it's inception in 1998. The Business Series program is a one-day conference that seeks to empower Latina professionals and business owners by bringing them together with key corporations and agencies that provide goods, services and essential information most needed by today’s entrepreneurs. The event includes exhibits and expert presenters.
